Research Online does not provide IsP addresses in the downloaded data but keeps track of accounts particiapting in studies

Is Ro secure?

Ro is highly secure. Ro is built using PHIPPA compliant containers and leverages edge comnputing to enhance security by having data acqusition, processing and anonymization happen on edge devices. Researchers are only given the ML-derived variables

Who can participate and what’s required to participate?

People from all over the world are able to participate. The only requirement is that you have a device with a camera and microphone to participate.

Where do participants find the letter of information and consent to the study?

You can find the letter of information on the specific study’s page (example screenshot provided below) and your consent is provided when you check off the box after reading the letter of information.

What is your recruitment policy?

We use de-identified/anonymous data from crowd sourcing platforms (e.g., Amazon’s Mturk, Prolific) to recruit participants. As we collect de-identified data, we cannot delete data as we cannot identify it. However, anyone can withdraw from the study at any point.
